We’ve all gone through a stage where playing pranks on your friends seemed to be the highlight of your day. Prank calling is usually on top of the prank list. Rightly so, prank calls are hilarious but annoying for the other party. But prank call ideas have become predictable and are not too much fun when the other party doesn’t get as annoyed as they used to. Keep your prank call tactics fresh and new with these ideas.
Call your local restaurant and ask “do you have chicken fingers?” If the person says yes, say “So how do you pick your nose?” Then hang up. Call back in a few minutes using a different voice and ask “do you have chicken fingers?” When the person says yes, ask “what do you have on your feet, fish toes?” You can keep on calling that restaurant over and over until you are satisfied.
Try your local convenience store or small grocery and ask “do you have dr. pepper in can?” If they say yes answer with “you better let him out, he is needed in the emergency room.” You can use this prank to all small groceries and stores around town. You can also use other brands that have a name of a person on it and be creative on the punch lines.
When you get those annoying telemarketing calls, entertain the call and let them know that you are interested in what you are offering and then say that you are fewer than 18. Wait until they are completely done with their offer. Offer to put one of your parents on the phone and then tell the agent “can I put you on hold while I get my dad?” Then start singing your heat out until they hang up. Choose an annoying song and use the most out of tune voice you can muster. If you have caller id, make sure you get the agent’s name so when they hang up, call them back. Once you get the person on the phone, continue your song. If they hang up, keep calling them back until you are done with the whole song. That should take you off their calling list and just maybe on their most annoying prospect list.
A word of caution though, when you are calling business establishments, be careful because most of them have caller id. Prank calling in the US and most countries are illegal and you might get in trouble if you are identified. Use a public phone or a private number just to be sure. It is not worth getting in trouble with the law. Prank calling is so much fun when it is meant for simple enjoyment.

Who is a Prankster?
Prankster is a person who does pranks on other people.
Prank Call
My friends and I love to pull pranks on each other every now and then. I have this one particular friend who gets off on our embarrassment. He was good at it too. I’d say he has honed that talent from years of practice and the guinea pigs are us, his friends. So one day we all decided to give him a dose of his own medicine and recruited his wife’s help which she accepted happily.
Our friend Mark has pulled so many pranks on us, we have lost count. So after going back and forth on different ideas, we decided that starting with a prank call is the perfect plan. We know he won’t suspect it because he hardly does any prank calls, he has other ways. So when he and his wife went out on a date, we went on ahead with the plan. We ask this girl to call their house and leave a message saying “hey Mark, what the idea of not calling me back after everything that happened? You can’t just sleep with someone and not call them back! And I thought you were different. Turns out, you are a jerk just like everyone else. In fact you are the biggest jerk I have ever known. You just used me for sex. You said I’m beautiful and sexy, and I believed you because you kept coming back for more. You are such a liar. You can call and tell me straight that you don’t want to see me again? What a jerk! I hate you!!!”
We made the girl leave 2 more short messages with basically the same context. When Mark and his wife return home their machine was blinking like crazy. When they listened to the messages, his wife pretended to throw a fit and walked out of the house. We were waiting at our favorite bar and had a little drinking session. Our friend called his wife 27 times and also called us all leaving desperate messages asking for help. By midnight, we decided to go back to his house and put him out of his misery. When we got back to there, Mark was not there. The babysitter said he went out to go and look for his wife. After 30 minutes he came home looking disheveled and stressed. He looked like he got hit by a bus, the poor guy! When he came in, we greeted him with mischievous grins and smiles, his wife having the biggest grin of us all. It took several seconds before it dawned on him that he just got pranked. He was laughing but frustrated at the same time. Now he knows how we all feel.
Until now, the prank is still the main topic of our Friday get-togethers. It did not cure our friend from his pranks though. But he mellowed down a bit.

My uncle is a regular victim of prank calls from the kids in the neighborhood. His store is situated near a school and most kids drop by his store after classes. That made him an easy target for kids to make fun of; after all he was the funny old man who runs the candy store. He probably get at least one prank call a day. It did not bother him at first especially because he found the calls funny. The calls became annoying and insulting eventually when the kids found the old man laughing at their pranks and not seething with anger. That’s when he decided to get caller id.
Once he gets the calls, he’d allow them to finish and wait for the callers to hang up. Then he calls them back and says the exact things the caller said to him and hangs up. He would keep on calling until they don’t answer anymore. One time, a boy called looking for a Kevin. He said there was no Kevin there and that he had the wrong number. The boy keeps calling and keeps on asking for Kevin. He can hear other boys on the background laughing. Then another one called say his name was Kevin and asked if my uncle has taken any messages for him. My uncle just laughed and hanged up. He got the caller id and it is registered to a couple that goes to the same church, their son Kevin always in tow. He decided to call the kids back and looked for Kevin. When Kevin answered, he said “Hi Kevin, this is Mr. Smith from the candy store. I have a new message for you. Your mother dropped by the store and asked me to tell you that you are grounded for 4 weeks with no allowance, no internet and no TV. Tell your friends to go home and clean your room. Oh and no more phone privileges. Enjoy kid!” The kid’s mom didn’t really drop by but it must have scared the kid and his friends because his daily prank calls dropped from an average of 6 to 7 calls a day to just around 3 calls daily.
Another time, a kid called him and just sang “welcome to the candy shop” over and over again. My uncle hanged up after a few minutes. He called back the number and when the same kid answered, he sang “welcome to the candy shop” over and over, out of tune. He kept on singing until the kid hanged up.
Giving these pranksters a dose of their own medicine is a great way of handling. Plus making prank calls are just hilarious. This seems to be the perfect situation for the saying “if you can’t beat them, join them.”
